One of the most expensive parts of the car to fix is the transmission. A damaged transmission could cost as much as several thousand dollars. What’s sad about it is that it could have been avoided. Of course you can completely avoid all car problems. But your chances of avoiding it would greatly increase your if you follow the 3 tips that we will discuss.
So first thing you want to do is pay attention to your car. This tip is given free but you should make sure that you do it regularly. What I mean by paying attention is seeing if it is leaking fluids. Is it shifting gears roughly? Those are some signs of problems with your transmission. All my clients of my San Marcos auto repair always get a list of what they should look out for between maintenance.
Second tip is also free.It is also something that you can control. That is, taking care of your cars by driving well.A lot of people drive very hard and they don’t care what happens to their cars. They don’t realize that they need to take care of it to avoid costly problems. A lot of the times the cars that need to be repaired in my Carlsbad auto repair shop you can tell which cars weren’t taken care of.And it also means that they spend more money on repairs than those who regularly take their cars in for check ups.So do the right thing and take care and regularly maintain your car.
Final tip does cost money. But spending money in following this advice would give you a lot savings in the long run.And that is what you call preventive maintenance. You have to take your car in for regular checkups.Just like when people go to doctors for a checkup of their health. That would be the same for your cars where you should take your car in regualrly for maintenance. And thay way you could save a lot of money by repairing minor problems before they develop into major problems. And you would also be able to catch early problems. The earlier you catch problems the less you will have to spend.
So use these tips wisely. It is what I give to all my clients of my Carlsbad auto repair. It can make them save a lot of money on repairs.

One thing that people often don’t mind doing is maintaining their cars. They do not realize that this simple task can let them save a lot on auto repairs. But not only save them money but also save them time.Because maintenance will take a lot less time than repairs. So what are the ways to avoid spending on auto repairs?
Well, first thing you can do is to always keep your car tuned up. It is a simple maintenance procedure. But it is a procedure that will make your car last for a long time. In my San Marcos auto repair shop I always encourage my clients to bring their car in for tune ups. It isn’t so I can make more money. But it is so they can save money.
Another thing I always encourage car owners to do is to let their cars undergo regular oil changes. Being able to do this task will go a long way. It will help their engine run smooth and last longer.Compare the oil to your blood. Just like a person, without blood, it won’t survive.A car with low oil levels can damage its engine severely. I have seen it too many times where customers brought in a burnt out engine into my Carlsbad auto repair shop. And the reason for this is just due to low oil levels. So be smart and change your oil regularly.
Last thing I always remind my clients is that they regularly check the transmission of their cars. Just like the engine, the transmission is a very expensive part to replace. But having it last long is easy. You just need to take care of it regularly. In my transmission repair shop I always tell my clients to check their transmission fluid. Letting this run down can ruin their transmission.
So, that would be it. If you perform these few things you can avoid costly repairs. Plus your car will last longer.

All car owners experience some problems with their cars. It doesn’t matter if you have a Mercedes or a Hyundai.Cars are just machines that will eventually break down. But there are things that you can do to avoid this from happening. Or if not avoid you can at least lessen the problems they give you.
First problem we cantal about is the problem caused by running your car on low oil. This one should not even be a problem. But some people out there with cars neglect this one basic fact that cars burn oil.Since it consumes oil it will run out if you don’t check and refill it. That is one of my biggest pieces of advice for my Escondido auto repair company.Be sure to check your oil levels all the time.If the level is low already then immediately fill her up. It will save you some major engine damage if you run it low on oil.
Another common problem that people always bring to my Oceanside auto repair shop is check engine light problems. It usually about your emmision when your check engine light turns on. First thing to realize is you don’t have to panic. It’s not something that can cost you a lot on repairs. You should consult your car manual first and see what it exactly means. You might want to consult a mechanic about later but do not lose sleep about it.
Last problem I would tackle is about clicking noises. This is mostly caused by rocks or debris that got stuck in the tires. You can just take some time off and go take a look at your tires. If you find something stuck in your tires then you can just use some pen or stick to remove it from its place. It is nothing major that can hurt your car.It justs makes you worry because it sounds like there is something wrong.Or it can also be annoying especially if you find out that it is not something to worry about. But it would not even hurt your car even in the long run.
So, there’s some of those most common problems of your car.I hope that the next time you encounter these problems you would not be too worried anymore.

One of the most costly repairs you can have for your car is the transmission. It is a huge part of your automobile. Taking care of it is very important.By making sure your car is taken care of you will save yourself a little bit of money.Since this is a repair you can’t do on your own, you still have some things that you can check.By doing the checking first at home, you can verify if you really need to bring it in.
First off since I own a San Marcos Auto repair shop I know how expensive transmission repairs can be.So i like to have my clients do some checks themselves prior to taking it in.This way you can double check to see if it really needs to be brought in. First off they can check the fluid. The fluid needs to be real clear. If the fluid is dark or black that is an indication of a problem and they have to bring their car in.
A second thing they can look at is how the gear shifts. You accomplish this by simply moving the gears from park to drive. Or you can move it from park to reverse. What you are looking for is for the gears to shift smoothly. What you don’t want to feel is any jerking motion. If you find that your car is jerking that is an indication of problems with your transmission. In my Carlsbad transmission repair shop this is one of the big signs of transmission problems. A lot of cars that come in have this very problem.
Finally you can check for any leaks of your transmission fluid. This is something you can check with your dipstick. But you won’t be able to tell unless you do this checking regularly. I advise all my customers in my Carlsbad auto repair shop to always check your fluids. People are familiar with checking for oil.But they need to also look at their transmission fluid. This way they can tell if their fluid is leaking.
If you follow these tips you can make sure your car’s transmission stays good.

One of the expensive repairs you can do on the car is a transmission repair. It is one of those things you hate hearing about in regards to repairing your car.Naturally most people will want to know some ways to get it to last longer. Or they want to know if it is even possible. Like anything it is possible. You can ensure that it can last longer by being sure to care for it. But here are more specific things you can do to make your transmission last longer.
First thing you always want to do is maintain proper fluid level.Just like most things in your vehicle you want to have your fluids at the right level. But when you are talking about your transmission it is important to making it last longer. Whenever a client takes there car in to the Carlsbad transmission repair shop I run I always check their fluids. I also recommend they always keep a close eye on their fluid levels. If they try to operate their car with low fluid levels they are going to ruin their transmission. Or it won’t last as long as they want.
Second thing they can do is that heat kills transmissions. So you will want to do some things that will help your transmission to run cooler. One of the most effective way to accomplish that is by putting in some transmission cooler. You can find some easily at an auto parts dealer. Of course when clients come and bring their cars in to our San Marcos auto repair shop we add it in also. This allows the transmission to run a lot cooler.
Finally this way is going to be easy.Do not ever attempt to shift gears while the car is in motion. You will be surprised at the number of people who ruin their cars by shifting gears while the car is moving. I am not because we see it all the time in our Carlsbad auto repair shop.People have their cars come in with transmissions ruined because they tried to shift while it was moving.

The transmission is one of the most expensive parts of a car to be repaired. In general like most of your car they are built well. But it will be broken over time and it is vey expensive to fix. So you want to always maintain your transmission. So let us now look into some signs of a transmission problem.
First signs of problems with the transmission is usually the fluids. If you go to check the fluid with a dipstick it can give you a sign. If you notice that the fluid level is always low then that might be a sign of a leak. If the fluid is dark or has a burnt smell that is a sure sign of problems. So to be sure that your car does not suffer any major problems with the transmission make sure that you check your fluids regularly. If you find any of these signs take it into a auto repair shop. I catch a lot of transmission problems early in my San Marcos transmission repair shop with these signs alone.
Another sign of transmission problems is when you have a delay when you shift it into drive. If you shift it and it does not get into gear immediately then that’s a sign of a problem. They call that problem a delayed engagement. This is a sign of a worn out transmission problem but there can be other causes. I have all my clients take it into my San Marcos auto repair shop anytime they get the delayed engagement problem.
Last sign of problem that I know of is when you shift the gears and it is jerky then that would be another sign of problems to come. All shifting done when driving should be smooth and not jerky. This is the sign of a worn transmission if your car jerks everytime it shifts gear. I catch a lot of problems early in my Carlsbad transmission repair shop when this happens.By detecting problems earlier, a customer can save more money instead of spending it on repairs.

Cars now have more durable materials as compared before.Even those cars that were considered cheap and not a good car last longer now. But even though cars are now made well, problems still happen. One of the biggest problems a car can have is a transmission problem. It can also be one of the most expensive and not just one of the biggest problems.
So here are some things to look for that I have learned running my San Marcos transmission repair company. First of all you want to keep good transmission fluid levels. If you do forget or intentionally do not do this then your transmission would be burnt up in no time.So make sure to have your dipstick always so you can check the fluid levels regularly.Be sure it is at a stable level.
The second you would want to check is if it is still clean.A transmission fluid that is dirty is a sign of problems that would come. If you find that the fluids are dirty or black then have it checked immediately. I get cars in all the time at my Carlsbad transmission repair shop that have this problem. But in bringing in their cars early for checkups they were able to avoid more expensive repairs or replacements.
Next if you are going to do some maintenance yourself be careful. In changing the fluids of your car be sure that you bought the correct type of fluid for your transmission. You would be surprised but it does happen where people put in the wrong type of fluid. If someone were to do this it could burn up your transmission immediately. So make sure to put the right kind when changing your fluids. I tell all my clients of my San Marcos auto repair shop when in doubt just have professionals do it for you. For such an expensive to replace part of your car it makes sense.
So if you abide by these things then you can save and maintain your transmission for a long time. Doing this only takes a few minutes but can save thousands.

As the down economy affects more people it also affects their buying habits. One of those big areas that it has affected is buying cars. When times were good a lot of people would just go out and get a new car. Now when they need another car they have to buy used. That isn’t so horrible since if you do it right you can get a lot of value with a used car.But if you don’t do it right it could end up costing you a lot of money.
One of the areas you can do wrong is the transmission. Although transmissions are now more reliable they still are expensive.Put another way you can break them real easy but they are really expensive to fix. That is a bad combination and I have seen many of my clients suffer from this in my San Marcos transmission repair company. They go out and buy a used car and they end up spending thousands more.
One thing you are able to do is check the vehicle history. You are going to want to inquire for any service records. That will show you if it was possibly a rental.Or it will show you if it had been in an accident. So what you want to see is if they have had transmission issues. That is one thing I have all my clients of my Carlsbad transmission repair shop to do is check the vehicle’s records.
Something else you can check is going over the transmission fluid levels. All you have to do is start the car and let it idle. They you just check the fluid with a dipstick into the transmission fluid. If it is low it could be a transmission leak. If the transmission fluid is dirty or black avoid buying that car. It is a sign of transmission problems. The last thing you want to do is buy a used car then end up having to bring it into my San Marcos auto repair shop to fix the transmission.Do these simple steps and you will end up saving yourself a lot of money.
